Yes those times are of my stock civic, for hte other guy i work at Drag strip on weekend we have drifting events, in the parking lot. Chekc your local drag strip tracks.
Ok. Let me say this first... many tracks (road course, NOT drag) do have drift events. BUT... ASK before you try anything, because many will kick you off for it because you are a problem to the others who are driving the line. Just make sure its OK first.
A good place is to find a local autoX, go spend time watching, help out with setup, breakdown, be a corner worker. Meat the people, learn whos who. Many will do "sloppy runs" at the end of the day, letting peopel drift etc after the real stuff is over.
Don't ever just assume and go try to drift. You will get the velvet glove. I hear stories of losers who think they can drift trying it at autoX events here. They never come back because they are idiots and know they were out of line.
the moral here is, ask around, chek with your local track and autox groups... try for non SCCA events, the rules are more lax.
