exhaust modification legalities

is it true that in maryland it is illegal to have any exhaust modifications on your car? this sucks seeing as how i'm, as we speak, waiting on my exhaust system to arrive.

No that is not true. The cops can tell you what they want but there is no law in MD that says its illegal to have a moded exhuast.

Yup, virginia cops suck especially fairfax county i remember when i got my ticket for "defective equipment" - i had an exhaust on the car at the time I wasnt even going fast. then i found out a lil bit after the same freakin cop pulled over a dude on here from md for the same reason
the cop was probably like o i guess there having a hangout cause i even saw the unmarked cop drive by where we were hanging out for a few minutes

The cops here are just stupid. One time I got pulled over for my exhuast and I told him it was 50 state legal or whatever and he told me there was 52 states.

Then he walked around my car and told me he would let me go this one time but if he saw me again he would give me a ticket. Never got a ticket for it.

i know in alot of states its illegal to modify you exhaust at all. nj is def 1 of them but i dont know all of them, i'd check your local ordinances for the answer not some cop.

NJ is illegal to mod all exhaust? Hmmm, one more reason (on top of the purely Draconian gun laws) to move.

neonimpact told me it is illegal but when i got ticket for over speeding the cop just asked me if my exhaust is legal and thats it...i got a tsudo n1 extreme...
