Isaac has sent out an update
Hey everyone, just wanted to send out an update so everyone knows where we are.
General Info
Place: Coleman's Memorial Park, Lebanon, PA
Date: July 24, 2004
Time: To Be Decided, it will probably start between Noon and 3
As for the details:
Currently, I am looking for people that are interested in joining a planning committee. Duties include:
1. Keeping in touch with me about any questions/comments/concearns.
2. Helping to take care of some of the smaller deitals, whatever may come up.
3. and mainly to just act as an "extra hand" for me, i.e. answering questions, etc.
I will be talking with Mex about starting up a website, like we had last year, which will contain details like time, place, date, directions from "hot spots", a map with "zones" showing which members are coming from where, rules of conduct, what you need to bring, etc, etc...
For now, just keep yourself up-to-date with things on the forum.
Again, you can contact me Via:
Emai: mycivicsaysbringit@yahoo.com
AIM: saac83
7thgencivic.com: EternalVTEC
EPhatch.cm: VividDreams
Thank You.
Isaac
Hotel Info
Here's the deal, the only hotel with any rooms available that is nearby is the Hampton Inn which is located right off the PA Turnpike.
OK, they have rooms available with a max of 5 guests per room @ $119, if someone has AAA or AARP, you can take 10% off, so say someone has AAA, thats $107.10, between 5 people, thats $21.42 per person(plus tax of course).
If you need to contact the Hotel for any reason, here is the info off the Buisness card:
Diana Resetar, General Manager
Hampton Inn Manheim
PA Turnpike, Exit 266(Old Exit 20)
2764 Lebanon Road(Route 72), Manheim, PA 17545
(717)665-6600
Fax: (717)665-1591
Email: MHMPA_hampton@hilton.com
Note: if you are coming off the turnpike, once you are on PA Rte. 72, there is a motel on the left before you get to the Hampton. YOU DO NOT want to stay there, they arent much cheaper and their rooms are nasty.

Isaac asked for this thread to be opened, so I am opening it. However, there are some rules. If you have no specific question or answer to a question or say something unrelated to the meet, either Isaac or myself will delete it. We want to keep this a place to get information and not get full of crap!!! Got it??

That being said, if you have any questions, please, ask away!
The site has been updated with the names of people who have said that they are coming. So, take a look at the list, see if anyone is near you, and if you want, contact them about getting a caravan going, or just someone to lead the way incase you arent sure of the way.
Also, Hotel info will be up soon.
Again, keep yourself updated here and on the site, and keep an eye out for emails.

you are welcome any time, just know this, judging by the previous two meets, people start leaving around 5-6, and the park, like most, closes at dusk.
that being said, i would be up for some kind of "after party" somewhere if anyone is interested.

Hell, I'm coming from the farthest south. If this thing is starting at roughly 1, I'm probably going to have to leave at like 6am!

even at 2pm, we'll have 7 hours til dusk, and I doubt we'll be hanging out at the park for that long. you also gotta figure, people may show up early-- and people will show up late. so we could just say 'aim' to arrive around 2pm. if you're there at 2pm and you see no cars, you got bad directions
Issac: any luck with the local hotels? try to find room at a local holiday/days inn or something

Alright, I just opened this thread and it is alread 2 pages long. There really hasn't been much discussed, but please try to keep it to a minimum. In 2 weeks we will have people complaining that they didn't want to read everything and that they want info. If it does not have to be said, don't say it. This thread is for Isaac and Mex and anyone who will be involved in caravaning others up. Any info anyone else needs will be on the first page. If you are confused about it, then ask a question. I just don't want this to get too long and confusing for people. Thank you.

As long as that is the first post, the only questions we should have are caravaning/people attending questions. I don't think we should scare anyone away from posting other questions though-- keeping this thread alive with posts will keep us in constant contact with the people who matter most: those attending. I think the more posts there are, the more likely it is to get people to sign up. (you see a huge thread you think WOW what's up here, and the first post says it all)
