Question Radar Detectors, worth it in MD?

Well, I've been pulled over twice by the cops, one was hiding behind a bush with his nasty radar, the other paced me in my blind spot =X I haven't gotten any speeding tickets yet, just one for not updating my address on my drivers license
So I've been thinking about getting a radar detector but I don't wanna shell out the cash unless it's gonna help me get through my provisional lease:
What do you people think?

i think they might help you a bit, with speeding at least.. (false alarms and stuff)

i would have rather shelled out 200 on a radar detector than shell out 500+ on 2 damn reckless driving tickets (my situation)

to bad they are illegal in Virginia

Yea, that's true. I was thinking of getting the Escort Passport 8500. It's like $300 though so maybe not now that I think of it...
whatever, maybe I'll just slow down

They work! You need one! Believe me. Especially on RT.50. Those cops sit right in the median and clock people. Get one that picks up laser as well. But I'm sure you probably knew that.

if you decide to get one get the Escort Passport 8500..

a little pricey ($300) but damn worth every penny..

you'll also hear people saying get a "Valentine One", they are very good also!

hell yeah
you dont have to spend 300hundred thou

you can get a nice cobra from Sears for like a 100
just make sure it picks up at least 9 bands and has a lot of options that you will most likely not use.

kinda like a phone...how often do you actually use the voice activated dialing?

I have acobra cant remember but i spent 150 or so, very good, one of the best cobras i have seen, it was expensive but, and make sure it can pick up l;aser, i dont think mine does all the time. that might be because of where i have mine. but yeah get one and you wont regret it. just make sure you can either hide or turn it off when you see a cop or get pulled over for something else.
