S800 for sale
well my has had a Honda S800 in his garage for 10 year. The engine has 200,000 miles on it and will need the engine rebuilt soon. 2 years ago he got a custom red paint job at a well known classic car restoration place in Dallas. He is selling it for $3,500. As some of you know I have come into a large sum of money and invested it wisely. Should I get it and use it as a show car?
what country are those plates from? Its a pretty sweet lookin car too ... IMO i would get it .. hell having something so rare. Nice to have an eye turner
*edit* Woo and right hand drive ... thats pimp as a mother too ... would take some getting used to, bet there's skyline owners out there who have .... I would go for it!

i would keep it and restore it, you don't see one of those everyday
it may not be able to hang with the big blocks, but it's a classic never the less
it's time some of the s2k owners know their grand parents, lol

I like it though. Can't beat it for that price. Just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into w/rebuilding the engine and everything.
I love the look though. It almost looks British.

well my neighbor is out of town on business till next wednesday, so once he gets home next week I will go over and take the pictures. He bought it when he was working over seas for 5 years. He had it brought back and payed for it to be imported. He says there are only about 20 in the U.S. right now. So yeah it will be a show stopper if I can get the engine rebuilt. I am going to look to see what I can swap into it.

Ive read up on them a little, apparently the redline on the S800 is 12,000 RPM's. Soichro Honda believed more RPM's meant more power. This is the company that made 50cc twin cylinder four stroke racing bikes that made 18 HP at 19,500 RPM's. This is the same company that in an attmept to defeat Two stroke GP bikes made the 500cc four stroke with oval pistons and eight valves per cylinder that revved to 25,000 RPM's
Honda Loved RPM's

I say go for it, the car is a true classic, which is great because it's hard to find true classic Honda cars. (No, an '88 CRX doesn't count) Just keep in mind that any restoration, maintenance or repairs may cost you 5x what you paid for the car, which is true of a lot of classics, but if you can do most of the work yourself, it will be well worth it. You can drive it around for years and never see another one on the road. Can't say the same for our Civics, unfortunately.
buy that thing and restore and rebuild that engine... hell if its true that is has a 12k redline rebuild it... i dont think any other honda engine has a higher redline (not considering their race cars)...invest money in that thing and it will be priceless, people are gonna want to pay u anything for it...
Simply put, I'd put the F20C engine in it whether show or go.
