A JDM style civic is either a Hatch or a Sedan.........there is no such thing as a JDM Coupe.

there really isnt a definite JDM style.
its more of a mindset. All parts JDM.
JDM consist of anything basically made in Japan.
Spoon, Mugen, C-West(?), Skunk2, etc. etc.
Nothing too outlandish, although thats not entirely true (i.e. minivans that look like lightening bolts).
If you have the choice between JDM tails, or 'better' looking altezzas, you get the JDM tails.

plain and simple.
replace any USDM parts with JDM parts, including bumpers, lights, emblems. wings, etc. etc.
jeebus. think about it.
JDM is jus the cars they sell in Japan. Coupes DONT exist in Japan, thus they're not 'JDM'. Only HB and Sedans are sold in Japan.

Its not cheap for the new SIs to convert to the CTR. The CTR Front and rear lip kit does not fit the USDM bumpers. So you have to get the CTR bumpers, and the CTR bumpers do not fit on the USDM bumper supports. All in all the cheapest the CTR conversion kit I've seen is around $2100 for everything. And then you have to get it all painted.

I think it funny how people in the US want their cars look JDM and people in Japan want their cars to look USDM. It would be sweet to find someone over seas and just swap them parts.

JDM is interpreted many ways....
Some people (me included) think of it as simple and functional styling. Everything is done for a purpose in order to make the car better.
Others have to swap every single part not on or different from the US model into the car.
For a 7th gen Sedan Conversion, you'd need at least the following:
Headlights
Tail Lights
Wheels
Side Markers
Mirrors
The Ferio kit would help
Theres an available Nav system in Japan
Go to www.honda.co.jp and look at the Civic... You can figure it out from there.

I think we can try to make ours look like the Type-RS in Japan, but still it's not much..
-side markers
-Ferio emblem
-JDM taillights
-Type RS Grill
-lip, skirt, rear lip
-I think they also have leather seats stock for RS
