Consumer Reports Gives Focus Workst Reliability Rating
I hate to bring this up, but I do because my girl almost bought a focus. We recently shopped the focus and civic. The focus had a 3000 cash back option on the financing, hence the reason she was looking at it.
Needless to say, Consumer reports guide did a comparison between the focus and civic, and while the "features" comparison was favorable towards the focus, consumer reports gave the focus the worst reliability rating, while giving the civic the next to best reliability rating.
Now I know why there was a 3000 cash back incentive. We also ran across a dealer here in Bellevue that had several focuses that were a 1 to 2 years old, and the salesman said he couldnt get rid of them because they were in such bad shape.
Once again, Honda proves to be more expensive..........but only int he short run.

Wow! That is a surprise..LOL
Glad to see the civic is rated above average as is typical of honda.
These ratings simply classify the vehicle into a reliability category, not from best to worst.

quite a few on the civic also, but none of them are damaging. just a rattle here and there, and some issues with the auto tranny. us manual owners haven't had anything of the sort

No, they don't. I am willing to put up Honda's 15 year track record for reliability against any american made car. Consumer reports isn't slanted to american or foriegn, they just report the facts.
