v8 vs w8?

The W8 is 2 VR4s put together. It's a space saving design.
a normal V8 looks like this

The W8 Looks like

But the cylinder bores would be closer to each other (I can't draw in between the text lines)....
The engine joins 2 15 degree banks of 4 cylinders at 60 degrees to each other. Each head has 2 cams (although VW calls it SOHC because each bank is technically a V engine), one for intake one for exhaust.
It doesn't really look like a W.... it looks like this.... \\ // But because the cylinders are offset, it isn't truly a V, but I don't know that you can really call it a W.... it just sounds cool.
