S2000man01 = WRXMan04????
Well, alas the time has come that I may have to sell my S2000. It's just getting to be too much to afford with having a wedding coming in the next year and moving onward in that direction.
I am going to the subaru dealer tonight to see what I can work out, considering I'm upside down quite a bit on my S2000. The civic would be an even wash on trade in since what I owe is about what it's worth.
As for here, don't worry. I'm not going anywhere, and this site will be number one even if I dont have my vic anymore.
I got too much time and too many friends here to leave. Besides, I need someplace good with a crowd of 7000 members to hear my race stories.
So I want to hear thoughts and info on the WRX!!! Let me know what you guys think of it, and if you know of any WRX sites. I think I heard of clubwrx.com, but wasn't sure if that was the best site out there. If anyone has info on the WRX post it here so I can read up. Thanks!

I sure wish my car was newer

Anyway, the one I read when I was drooling over them was www.i-club.com

The EVO 8 is too high a cost for me. I'm trying to get AWAY from driving a $30,000 car.
and I didn't post in member's rides because I'm trying to get info on the WRX from members here.

yeah evo looks much better... but it's more expensive... rx-8 will start around 26k for a 6 speed... it's not AWD but it's still fast and the x-men drive it...

Well I know you don't want to be driving around a $30,000 car so the STI is out of the question. The WRX is a really quick sedan and it is the best bang for your buck deal going on right now with imports. If you like the styling ques of the regular WRX get it..... 4 doors, AWD (good in bad weather, unlike your S2g...lol), a ridiculous amount of JDM parts available (if thats what your into), and the potential of building a 12 sec street car without blowing your last dollar. The only reason I didn't get one was because I don't like 4 doors. After seeing the new STI, I am having new thoughts......

anyways...s2000man, welcome to the club!
im getting that car after my lease on the civic is up. my family had a subaru in the past and its a really nice car. one quirk is the tranny tho, its notorious for having a lag from the start. i heard they fixed it, but you never know...i havent driven one in about 3 or 4 years (the one we had was a legacy SUS auto tho)i love the car, the new design is awesome, and you know there will be plenty of aftermarket support for it. COBB is a nice place i hear

well they redid the subaru's front and back for 2004. (the regualar WRX as well as the STi of course) the front looks more rounded, the headlights are one piece with the turn signal and are now an oval-ish shape that match the front better, and the hood scoop is bigger. plus the fog lights are now projection.
i hear you can play with the boost and run large amounts of it, of course, with the right internals. ever see a vid of a 10 sec wrx? its somewhere in my street race clips collections a get from kazaa or winmx. good luck on your switch over

I have a friend who runs 12.5 with about 4500 in mods. His WRX is all stock internals and drive-train as well. He got those mods with 1000 miles on it, and he has 27,000 now. His car has had no problems.

I don't believe the regular WRX comes with that spolier and that Kit either
If you ask me, it is not worth trading your S2000. You are not going to gain any extra cash from it. 2 year S2000 max 25000. Now Subaru WRX probably you could get for 21000. Add tax, finance chargers, and you will be pretty close. Dont do it! Besides I really respect the Subaru power, but face it, these cars are ugly! No match for S2000.

the new redesign is a welcome change. projector fogs are sweet. i need to go and sit in one tomorrow. the evo is nice and comfy, i need to know how the new wrx's are.
sti is pimp... at my friend's shop... they drag raced an sti and an evo 8 and of course the sti won... i envy you greatly... although i'm not a great big fan of four wheel drive... the wrx is a very nice car... can i get a ride?

i dont see how the wrx is gonna be any cheaper cause they start out at 25,000 and the s2000's arent that much more either. But if you can afford it go for it!! i love the wrx's

I know i was looking at the WRX when I was searching for a new car, and any kind of finance deal would easily put you 25k +. They weren't budging on that either, so I just walked out on the dealer. It may vary depending on where in the country you are (I'm from NJ) but I'm not seeing how the WRX is gonna be cheaper than the s2k at this point. Trade in the vic if you need money.

Well, first I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good site for WRX parts?
Second, this is how it breaks down so far. I'm trading in the S2k and civic, so I'm eliminating $750 a month in car payments. Financing the WRX, even being upside down on the S2k, I'm coming out about $590 a month in car payments. So that saves $260 a month. That's why it's cheaper. I also got them to knock $1000 bucks off MSRP sticker of the WRX AND throw in the STi spoiler.
