Rep Power: 292 dont quote me on this....
but from what i understand alot of us would fall under the mild class....
wild class is widebody, conversions, major custom paint job, stuff along those lines.
some shows ive seen or heard of are for mild class between 1-5, or 1-3 exterior mod, plus what ever interior mods as well. they are looking for clean lines, also that the car is actually clean, every little crack, ive heard that sometimes they will put there hands in the wheelwell to see if its clean and if not they deduct points. also if its a daily driven car they tend to look even closer cause it servers as multi purpose (show, daily driving)
they are also looking for "innovative" ideas... new things are tv's seems that there are alot of them out there and they want to see screens and stuff like that. when it comes to i.c.e they want consistancy, the parts are the same brand etc ie: you have all the same type of amps and speakers from the same retailer like fosgate or pioneer etc.
now i could be way off so if i am someone correct me but this is what ive seen and from what ive heard......
i know osofast has won a trophy before and i believe blackbullet won a first in mild class at a show... maybe you could ask them.

Rep Power: 0 all the car shows i've been to, they also look under you hood, it's just part of the overall package, if the judges are not impressed, they are not going to give you anything

Rep Power: 0 From my experience at shows, this is what has always be told to me. Your display is very important. Tricked out hoods/trunks are a suggestion. Everyone can have there hood open or trunk open like normal. Props, lighting, mirrors, cause attention, thus bringing people around the car. This is what judges look for as well. How much attention is the car getting.
Second, try to make you car look different from other cars. At every show there will be a car with tribal or flame graphics, buddy club, black widow, or octaine kits. Try not to follow others looks, rather create your own look. If your going to copy anothers look, be sure you make it look a little different that makes it yours and not just another copycat.
Third, try to always go for the extreme. I'm not talking about vents and shaved doors. That will just get you into another class which means more competition. What I mean is instead of getting 17"s look into 18"s or even 19"s if it goes with you theme. Some people go for the race look. Instead of 16" all around, go 16"s front and 17"s back. another suggestion would be to polish or chrome parts that can be done. More point getter's are a custom ICE setup in the trunk, color themes on the car and under the hood. With the colors though do not mix and match too many colors. Sticking with a uniform setup is always the safest bet. Many judges score lower with lost of color themes because 1. the colors do not go with each other and 2. it creates visual headaches.
Lastly, make sure EVERYTHING is clean. I mean EVERYTHING. from your rims, to your undercarrage, to under the hood. Any type of dirt, scratch, or oil spot will take away from your score.
Hope this information helps.

Rep Power: 278 Hmm, I didn't know they were that critical.. It sounds like I may not have fun at NOPI anymore.. I don't want someone to call all the money I've put into my car a waste because of a rock that scratched my undercarriage on the way to NOPI..
