weight ?

I was just wondering if the 7th gen was heavier than the previous 6th gen model, and if so by about how many pounds. Becasue, i beat my friend's 6th gen by about 1 car length and the second he got a chance to talk to me he said it was because of the added weight in his car (passanger riding with him) and i just thought that wouldn't make a difference at all because my car weighs more anyway. what do you think?

I thought that our cars had about 150-200lbs. on the 6th gen civics. I think. If I'm wrong, I'm sure one of the PW's on here will straighten me out.
