Rep Power: 364 No thank you. I'll take the roadster with a hardtop. It flows better. The coupe looks like a wannabe mercedes. If I were to buy a coupe in that price range, I'd get the top 350Z or an RX-8.

For the last time. lol. THERE IS NO S2200 COUPE!
The S2000 is remaining an S2000 with a slight power increase in 2004 or 2005. Honda will NOT be making this a coupe. It was designed a roadster, honda wanted to make a roadster, it will always be a roadster. Thus far this is what honda has said.
the car you see the pic of is a photoshop, debunked a long time ago by the guy who did the chop. the back end/top part is that of an RSX (if i remember right), chopped in with an S2000 to make it look like a coupe. You can also see the driver's window goes beyond the length of the door, which is also not possible.
again, there is no such thing as an S2200 or an S2000 coupe of any kind.
Chrissy, not sure if you were talking about the S2000 coming out in year 2000, hence the name..... the name is actually referring to engine size. 2000 cc's. As were the other previous S cars like the S600 and S800 roadsters. They were 600cc and 800cc engines respectively.

Editor Sam Mitani says, "The planned introduction of this proposed car is 2003, and I've also heard that the coupe will boast more performance than it's convertible counterpart. Displacement of the inline-4 will be increased from 2.0 liters to 2.2, thus the name s2200 and resulting in 10 more horsepower, bringing the total to 250."
I am not saying this is the gospel or anything, just that there is REAL speculation.
I believe honda would sell quite a few more of them if they made a coupe version.

Rep Power: 400 Actually, this hoax was published in magazines across the world. It was some guy who did it, and it picked up word like wildfire. It was all over europe too. Interior shots and a bunch of other shots were chopped too.

It's rumors and nothing more. And if you know honda, we'd have heard something about the car by now if it is to be released in 2003. Honda is very secretive, but they do tell you what is coming out in advance.
The S2000 was honda's dream since the inception of the NSX. They had always wanted it to be a roadster, and would go against everything the car stood for to be made in a coupe.

Rep Power: 0 Well that stinks...I'll be interested to see if they change their minds at some point. I kinda feel like they may be forced to in a way. Although, I think the s2000 is more of a marketing tool for honda than a car built to make a profit.
