launching

i was just wondering what kind of rpm to launch at when i go to the track cause i see soo many people just screw up the whole race at the starting line and their finished. my friend told me he launches his 6thgen at 3800 and said i should try to launch at 3600. what does everyone think?

yea, that sounds good, just keep the rpm's around that, and just redline the first gear, that should be a good launch. just try it out and see what you like better.

i launch at 3500. just make sure you dont just drop the clutch, and feather it instead. It is real harsh on the tranny to just drop it, and you can burn out if you dont feather it.
