I was just out picking up some delivery food at the food drop off place at my school and I saw this old 4dr Hatch that was 4WD. I thought I had read something about a 4WD civic that was made awhile ago, but was only available oversees. Did they ever bring that model over here, and if so does anyone know about this vic model: like performance potential, what years they were made and brought over here, and where to find these things?
thats news to my ears, i've never heard about any civic's being anything else than fwd??????
ya they are making it into a "draggin wagon" in the new honda tuning magizine. they lowered it and put new wheels and tires on it. they are planning a motor swap down the road. their's is only a 2 wheels drive i just remembered. they looked for a 4 wheel drive but didnt find any in good condition.

Funny you should mention that article. A little while after I posted this thread I opened up my new honda tuning mag, and bam there was that article. Ironically enough I was talking to my fiance who know's nothing about cars, and I mentioned that I had seen this four wheel drive civic, and she was like "yeah, they had it out back when toyota had their 4WD corolla." That I definitely remember because my grandfather had one and come to think of it, it looked almost exactly the same. Looks like it was made before '88 as well too, and that to find a good working one that you could mod, would be extremely hard. The article said that once something starts going wrong with them, they become a devil to try and fix. Still does anyone out there know anything or anyone who has modded the 4WD Civic at all?Originally posted by 4bangin
