Civic Si or LX?
Civic Si or LX?
What's the main diff between the LX and Si performance wise? I heard that the Si isn't worth it because the VTEC + 12hp more does not make much of a difference, etc. Any facts?

I would've gotten the EX/Si instead of my LX. I guess cuz it came with more options.
I don't think it's worth it. CAD Si is still 2 wheel disc and 15" alloys. For the price of an SI i'd get the Pro5 or pay a bit more and get something in the price of a mazdaspeed $25k CAD. If you want to stick with Honda/Acura, then spend the extra few grand and get a base RSX at least.
injencivic... you have to take into consideration that Swift is in Canada. Therefore his "Si" is actually our "EX".
It depends on what you want ot do to it mods wise. More parts seem to be available with additional modifications for the EX (header, certain cat-back exausts, etc.) But the LX does have a lower compression than that of the EX/Si. I heard that turbos run better on the LX than they do on the EX.
But that is just what I have heard and read.

IMO if you can tolerate the exterior styling, go with the SiR.

LX pride baby!!
the 2k3 have the door handle and i think the mirrors are also painted too.... the only real difference is ABS, sunroof, and CD player... enginewise EX is the SAME as the LX at the wheels... maybe like 1 or 2 HP difference but that's it.... LX's are lighter without the sunroof and ish and all i've gotta say is... VTEC is all a hype on our 7th gen civics...
best buy for the buck is the LX IMO...

DX all the way Baby! Just ask S2kMan, he'll tell you. No power anything and like he said, but also none of the weight of power windows and stuff. Its a hassle sometimes but I don't mind it, but I do wish I had a sunroof on those nice summer days.
