Anyone know anywhere I can find safety ratings for the S2000? neither the insurance institute nor the national highway safety site had them. Thanks

The S2000 received the highest ratings possible for both Frontal, Side, and Offset crashes as in tests done by Insurance Institute, and the NHSTA. Honda also did their own rollover tests at 55mph, in which the occupants (dummies) lived with minor to medium injury. This info can be found in a book called "Honda S2000". The S2000 also passed the pedestrian collision tests. (where a car is designed to injur a pedestrian less, should the car hit them at 10-15mph)
As I also recently stated in another thread, there was an accident where an S2000 went off a road into a small ravine going 45-50mph. 2 occupants and top down. The car rolled, and ended up upside down. The car's A-pillar and rollbars held, and both occupants walked out with scratches.

i mean 240hp 2.0L I4 DOHC Vtec(not the crap vtec thats on our civics)
9000rpm redline 6spd Manual tranny, Rear wheel drive
The S2000 is definitely a driver's car. It's funny that people can actually pull off 15s in that car bone stock but a good driver can hit high to mid 13s.
It could still use a lil' more torque... and yes, I know... it has enough torque at the bottom to still be fun to drive.
6,000 RPMs and up is where it's at though.

At least the engine in the S2000 never sounds like it's gonna go boom compared to the GS-R and 99-00 Si when the engine nears redline. That engine sounds nice all the way to redline.
