Hi,
I'm sorry for posting this message since so many other similar posts exist. A place by my place gave me a quote of $120 for the all the windows. I believe he recommended 33% on the back and 22% in the front or vice versa. And 10 more bucks for the visor tinting.
My friend told me that average price go for around a hundred. Well, after reading other post, this seems cheap compared to others paying 200-260 dollars. Do I need to worry about the quality? I'm going to be watching him while he is going to do the job.
What problems can i expect if the tint job is of cheap quality or job? How much did you pay?
I live in Hacienda Heights in Los Angeles, any recommendations.

Rep Power: 0 120 doesn't sound that bad but on the other hand i have never tinted my windows... attracts thieves in my opinion
22% is pretty dark... in my area the legal tint percentage is 50% on the front and 35% on the back

Rep Power: 0 I paid $150 for mine and got 5% all around. The cops have never bothered me about it (knock on wood). I think to be legal here (Central Florida) you have to have 20 or 25 percent on the front and whatever you want on the back. But if I'm gonna pay $150, I want all my windows black.

Rep Power: 0 Geez, I can't believe this, "I had to pay more because the tint was darker"....for $100, i got the rear window and two little sides on my coupe in 5%, and the two doors 20%, and that includes a lifetime warranty. The work was great, the guy owns two shops, and they tint all the Hondas for Frank Kent Honda in Fort Worth. I asked the man who worked on my car about the paying extra for dark tint, and he told me its just a joke to get more money from someone, and to never believe that because it costs him the same for all shades.

Rep Power: 0 a 100 dollar tint job is a waste of money. Your going to spend close to 200 for one with a lifetime warranty and good quality unless you got a hookup. Lumar tint is the best and 3M is good as well. There are places around here that have a ad that says "Come here to fix those $99 tint jobs" So trust me unless you want it to peel crack bubble up or turn purple in a year go with the more epensive tint. As far as %'s 33 seems kinda light, I know everyone has their own state laws and preferences. I have 18% all around and it looks real clean.

Rep Power: 0 i have illegal tint since you cannot see my interior with the windows up at night, but that the way the car came when i bought it so i'll say to the cop when i get pulled over, "the car came like this when i bought it" maybe i can play innocent and get away with no fine, but i know i will get a f***ing fix it ticket. dumb cops! my guess is that i have 5 or 10% tint on all windows, except for the windshield of course!

Oh please, a waste of money? I have Lumar tint and paid 100 with a lifetime warranty. That same shop has tinted 3 of our cars in the past, tints Frank Kent Honda's, and also the Fort Worth police cars. Our oldest car has had the tint for three years and has not cracked, peeled, purpled, or bubbled. If it does, there is a lifetime warranty, all for 100 bucks. The place we went to isn't a "99 dollar bagrain" tint place, they still make profit and do quality work.
