ok, it was about the raliart or something but someone mentioned why the si isnt selling well? lets go over the reasons and see if anyone else has to add to them
1. The Body/Shape of the car (It's a Mini Mini-Van)
2. Overpriced (At my local Honda dealer the price is around $19k-20k)
3. Handles horrible (Or at least thats what i've heard)
4. Bad Shifter Location (in the console? IMO thats pretty damn gross)

Another reason why it isn't selling
6. Lack of upscale marketing,
I have seen more ads for every other car than the Si, in fact I haven't seen one tv ad for the Si, but yet I have seen probably 6 different ads for the civic

i know what you mean. if they had remade the 99-00 SI it would sell so much better. even with the same amount of HP i would have gotten one over an EX. i mean, i LOVE hatchbacks...just not this one...(or a ford focus). i love the ae86's, old accord hatchs, lower gen. civic hatches...all good...just not this one.

i have no problem with the current hatch, and the focus hatch is slowly growing on me, but i hate the front of it. ford should fix up the front, and get those fender flares off the car
i totally agree with you all the other hatch's are so much better looking but this 1 theres something wrong with it...looks too long or something i cant put my finger on it tho...all in all it sucks
I drove the si, i liked the shifter, the seats ruled, it handled better, it braked better but they wanted me to pay for all that...so here i am with an ex wishing i had an si. drive on and you will like it. I drove 3 cars that day, focus svt, si and the ex...i wanted the si.

I like the shifter! It's just the size and shape of the car that's a turn off for me.
As for overpriced...I would say it is a lot of $$$ but it's not off by much.

I would rather have a 5th gen hatch or a 6th gen hatch anyday....I just like the body style better. The 7th gen si....Reminds me too much of a Focus. The only thing cool about the car is the motor and the seats.

Call me crazy, but I like it for some reason. The headlights are way too big though, I think they should have kept the EX front end & just made it a hatch, that would look bad as hell. But honestly I think had I not have gotten such a good deal on my EX I would have taken one in a heartbeat. They definately look different, but I like different, just not too different. But you have to admit they look damn good hooked up & would beat our asses any day so we cant knock them that much. Just my opinion.

I drive the Incubus civic Si from time to time, the shifter is great. Handling was awesome but it had sprint springs and 18x7.5s so it def isn't stock. Either way, the motor is much better (more tourque). They should have had at least 175+hp. The older Si's weighed less, revved higher, and had more aggressive cam timing. They run faster 1/4mile times than the new ones. So the new ones are actually slower. Either way though, def a better driver than my EX.
