went to the honda lot today. need advice?
I saw 2 Si's there 1 blue 1 white at $19480 at 1.9apr(full sticker price.) this was about the price of my EX in november of 2000, im doing some calculations now to see if i can hit the same payment amount. I was going to trade my auto for a manual to get a turbo but this looks much cheaper. I still owe on my civic, but myself being performance oriented, Im getting the **** burned out of me driving that car.
i know Si's are "different" looking, but that can be fixed with wheels, body kit, and springs.
its also been awhile since i drove a stick, havnt done it in 6 years when i was 17, so im a lil upset on that part.

I did the estimates and its only 5 bucks more a month with a 2k down payment, not including the dealer fees. i owe 9k on m car, my car with rims and everything i like to sell for 10k, also when the dealer pays it off does it give me back the interest that would have accrued(sp) for the next 2 years, thats where my down payment is coming from, if not than my payments will be less than 350.00 still not bad.

The Si isn't selling very hot. Try your best to low down the price on that instead of paying full sticker. Go here to ask around how much they pay for their Si to get an estimate how much you should pay. If I am you I will get the blue one. It looks so nice and stand out from a distance.

Dude! 10.5 .........
Well,
when you go in just tell them strait up and dont give them to much room to breath on that price, ask for the invoice and tell them like 10-15% over base or umm... (wholesale?, what they get it for, forgot the name) 10-15% is still good, and those si's aren't moving well, they should be happy that a constumer that wants one has come to them...

ya, i wanted a mustang GT or a z28 before i got my 2k1 civic, i would have done it if i had my own credit at the time but i didnt so they wouldnt touch me, so i had to get a civic. i like civics though b/c there fun and quite reliable when bolting on serious HP. but since chevy stopped making Z28's (wasnt 2002 there last year). and buying a used Z28 is somthing ill never do b/c they are sport cars that ppl drive the hell out of, im getting an Si. ford mustangs are okay but there GT model seems to lose hp by the generation. (talking about the GT's, not roush<sp> or saleen or SVT)

Being that I sell Hondas now, I can give you some pointers. Ask them to show you the invoice (what they own it for).
If they don't tell you, it shows they are unwilling to work with you on numbers. You can also get the nat'l invoice avg @ http://www.intellichoice.com/.. Very good info...
Save your $2K (it just puts more money in their pocket) and offer them a couple hundred over invoice. It will make you a smart shopper and give them a unit out the door.
