wrx owners r dissin us/you guys
excluding me of course.
i think they think that we/u guys r dissin the car(wrx) b/c of the actual whp of the car. but i told them that we/u guys r just disappointed but still bow down to the car. prove em wrong. im not startin a war i just want to get things cleard up..

though not saying a WRX is a bad car by any means i'd love to own one

You just can't do that! If they were both built to the same specifications, then, they would have been both called the same thing.
It's like a person with a Civic thinking he can take on a Mustang any day of the week. It's just not right, and is not fair. Pulling it off would be mind boggling though.

Well I have a 7th gen and have never capped on a WRX, WRX's body's are ugly look'n but what am I to say 7th gen's are any better...The wrx's are very impressive in my point of view, design of body itself is outrageous, if you ever read specs on weight of that 4 door its awesome how they woulda designed it to be 4 instead of 2 door...b.c. 2 or 4 door woulda not made a diff in weight basically....the 7th gen's Civics are just disgrace this year compared to every other year, no such thing as VTEC this year only WEAKTEC...as far as this all talk bout 2.5 turbo being able to beat WRX, it can happen if tuned right....might take a lot to even keep up with one to begin with b.c. the money that would be put in to turbo a 2.5 would prob equal amount of WRX to begin with...a good setup im talkin bout not just a bolt on crap...well one of my homeboiz in Diego has a 2.5RS i think its a 99 well he's got it turboed runnin similar setup to WRX and well he spanks these Scooburos on streets but at one point in palmdale runnin track he ran a WRX who happened to swap his turbo and well guess what all that money he spent keepin up with stock WRX that guy easily put couple bills down for a new snail, now able to boost more and leave him in dust once again...as far as them cappin on civics, what do we expect? This is our lifestyle peeps...Civics and Tegs have always been the put down in all racing world...I used to own a 00 Civic Si and well i wouldnt claim it to be the fastest car out there but impressive to a point, id take on a WRX any day if I still had it, just good all motor runnin too 13.4@124 mph so none of that forced inducshit...if ne WRX guy claims that none of our civics can run? well tell them to hit me up, i got a few buds who have some output for a challenge, aint got no 10 second civic friends but just to sum it up theyd better be ready to run some Ls-Vtec or b20 turbos or all motor...that's just my opinion of this war...7th gen fellaz just let it go! WRX and Civics not in same category

Rep Power: 0 Some of those kids on the WRX forum are completely retarded! You can never compare a Civic and a WRX. And half of those people on there pretty much think that the WRX is the fastest thing ever invented. Then they try to say that the S2000 is slow and would get spanked by a WRX. I have never heard of anything as funny as this. I'm still laughing. Oh and the WRX is a really nice car but it is definitely not as fast as they all think it is. I have driven one plenty of times and they are not that fast. Like with any car, I'm sure they are a bit faster with mods.

My friend with a 92 supra just dumped about 5grand on his motor and is getting the japanese spec (J1) motor put in his car. (the same engine the supra had in the fast and the furious)
Im not trying to defend all civic owners or whatever cause I agree alot of them do look like crap but keep in mind everyone doesnt have the money to own a wrx.
Cause in the end, when im with my "upper-class" friends and their driving thier fixed up supras, s4's, m3's or whatever...all I have is a subaru.
By the way for those of you that will TRY to say im lying or whatever about my friends with the ls engine, or j1 supra come to hot import nights in longbeach this may. Well be there under TYPE1. Its my first show though...ill try to represent the SUBARU WRX hardcore!!![hr]

i'd love to have a WRX or even a SRT-4, but i already have a car and by the time i'm out of college this whole car-tuning phase will probably be out of my system. it's not like all civic owners go out and pick races with everyone they see
... personally, if i pass by people like that with 7th gens, i make sure they don't see my sticker or license plate frame.

their 1/4 times are so close but the beauty of the cobra is that it's ~15,000 dollars cheaper and just by replacing the damn air filter to a K&N unit you can gain crazy horsepower that we could never gain with one bolt-on for our NA engine.
a cobra i saw at a dyno shop replaced its stock air filter, put in a K&N air filter, removed the little rubber silencer, and it gained 27 hp

Right now I own a 02 CIVIC, a 03 TL, and a 72 chevy truck (restoring)....Who cares though? Nobody but my wife and I.
