I believe so... yes the same engine, but some different parts to make it detuned in the C5. Kinda along the lines of the K20A2 and K20A3.

The Z06 has an LS6 motor in it. There are several internal differences in the oil and coolant passages, heads, and elsewhere that give it the extra power.
talking about the LS1 and LS6, is one more sought after than the other for domestic swaps? i always hear stuff about the LS1, but never really about the LS6.....is the LS1 better for swaps or is it just that the LS6 is too expensive and too rare to find......?

WS6 and Z28/SS have an LS1
C5 has an LS1
Zo6 has an LS6 which is an LS1 with a better flowing head, exhaust and cam.
320, 350 and 400 BHP respectivly.
