Sand racing
i was just watching a show on satelite, guys with big *** toyota landcruiser, nissan safaris, and TJ's, with V8's turbo charged, nitrous and all. the thing is that they were racing Uphill on a 45 degree hill made of pure soft desert sand in the middel of the desert. it was in the middle east. man f**k that is what i call testing your engines. the fastest guy did it in 19s, and it was 1km, so about half a mile. crazy ****. one thing, a couple fo them had nitrous, but i didnt really see a jump in the truck when he used it, is nitrous anygood for driving in those kinda conditions?
ive seem stuff like that, but it was dunebuggys going up a dirt mountaint so it was a hard land, they used the nitrous at the top of the hill to give them that added boost to get them over the top without fliping over backwards.... very cool stuff but it was a 80 deg. angle almost stright up
I sure wish my car was newer

It would be soooooooooo much fun to race in the Dakkar Rally.
And to the original question, I'm sure nitrous is helpful as long as you know exactly when to use it. Or else (like the guy said) it'll just make your tires spin like crazy.

I watched some of that Dakar Rally on Speed Channel a couple weeks ago (I think it was) and I must say that ish is great. I would give anything to be able to drive one of those vehicles.
