THE HONDA ELEMENT THREAD!
Alright, so we stop getting 5 million new threads on a topic that's obviously up for discussion... here ya go.
I am going to test drive one soon, and take pics, which I'll post at a later time, with my own review.

i think it looks pretty cool, but my only question is: how do the suicide doors (same with the RX-8) hold up in a "t-bone" wreck ?
i saw the Element at my dealership yesterday when I got my 10K service...I must say it's pretty impressive. For what you get and the price, it's a bargain (the one we saw was pretty much bare, but an "SUV/Minivan" for only $16K sticker, c'mon!). I will say I was skeptical about the design, but in person, it's not really as big as it seems, and it's very modern. The *only* drawback I had was the large amount of plastic around the wheel wells. Other than that, I'd get one if I was in the market.
On the same note, I looked at the Si while I was at my dealership. I know a *LOT* of people on this site don't like the Si, say it looks like a minivan, etc. My question to them is, have you ever seen one in person? It's smaller than our car, and it REALLY does not look like a minivan in person. In fact, I'd get one of those if I didn't love my car so much. Especially for the price they are unloading them at. I mean, a $19K sticker car that is selling for only $15K is a steal. They're small, sleek looking, and actually quite roomy. I just think people on this site don't like anything but the Civic and the 350Z...

I love the truck. My girl and I went to the dealer and we checked it out. They had a dx with 4wd..with the sunroof in the rear. The sticker for an automatic with no a/c and 4wd was $18,300. She wanted to break the lease on her 02 civic and buy the element but the dealer said she couldnt break her lease because it had just started.
My friend bought his wife and Ex 4wd automatic in Orange(yuk), and hes going to put Dubs on it lol....

I work for the Honda dealership near my home and they are kinda funny lookin but they grow on you. The interior is awesome and there is tuns of room inside. The sound system is also awesome, it has a woofer in the center console. overall i think they would be worth the money, definately over a CR-V. CR-V's are queer. You have got to be kidding about th enew Si. That has to be the worst design honda has ever come up with. Even the salesmen at the dealership were riding the bish when i was talking with them about a new s2000 a few months ago. It most definitely shares a LOT of the same lines as the Odysess, be it much shorter lines though. I couldnt believe the incredible awkwardness of the layout once your sitting inside the car either (this being after i got out of the stook) I seriously believe this car was originally designed to sell to suckers with money and now to the people that couldnt afford a 5 speed ex seeing how its cheaper than the ex now......

have you SEEN the new accord sedans? i do believe that is the ugliest honda on the market right now. i mean, i thought the echo looked like it had been backed into a wall, but the accord sedan looks like someone cut off the back half of the trunk...
sorry, but the SI's have grown on me the more I see them...IMHO, they're a good looking car...i'd still take one...
but back to the element...
