I got this in my email this morning from my friend, I thought I'd share it here vs. emailing it to a bunch of people so here it goes. (feel free to email it to however many people you'd like.)

Why didn't George W. think of this? Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us! The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor. An interesting thought it to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis. Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil

(for the period 9/1/00 - 8/31/01):
Shell................ .......205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco....... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil............. 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway.. 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco................ 62,231,000 barrels

if you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18
BILLION!

Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:

Citgo....................0 barrels
Sunoco............. ..0 barrels
Conoco............. ..0 barrels
Sinclair............... 0 barrels
BP/Phillips.......... 0 barrels
Hess...................0 barrels

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. They report on a monthly basis. Keep this list in your car; share it with friends. Stop paying for terrorism.............
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do. Now, don't wimp out at this point...keep reading
and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!
I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next eight days!

Dude, these this are always total bull crap. This has been floating around for about a year now. So big deal they don't import them from over seas? The Arabs own all the gas stations anyway. So the money still goes into their pockets to send back to the homeland.

We have none of those non-Middle East imports here. Maybe just go for Mobil (no Marathon or Amoco here either) since they import the least.... ?? Also, I don't think yours or my efforts will do much. The ones you should be telling this to are the ones driving those SUVs or trucks that get like <20 MPG.

thanks for your comment, but next time when you want to post a negetive comment like that maybe you should do some research & add some factual insight, instead of just saying "these are total bullcrap"..

so the Arabs own all the gas stations huh?.. thats funny because I'm almost positive Citgo & Hess are both Venezuelan owned & operated?.. I'm not sure about the rest though. but since I know your wrong about that, I'll just assume, (like you assumed) that you have no idea what your talking about. & your just talking total crap.

yeah true some chain-mail is pretty much crap & i just thow away. but this one does have some truth.

I'm not trying to be mean, but I just hate it when people make comments like that & have no proof to back-up anything they say.

Well I did no mean to offend anyone but I live in the detroit area which is Arab capital of the US. The city of Dearborn is the most Arab populated city in the US so I guess in my eyes they DO own everything around here. So sorry if it came out wrong guys.

Quick way to find out if an Arab owns a particular gas station is to see if you have to either pay to use the air pump, or the water, or even see if they are installed...lots of times they are too cheap to keep them maintained and rip them out.

I was delighted to announce in August that we had reached agreement for a proposed merger between your Company and Amoco Corporation.

I was able to find this info on

I had a cousin who was a petroleum engineer for them for a little while.

My guess is that BP or British Petroleum does in fact hold ownershio in part or in whole of Amoco

Idiots.

Why don't you just say it out loud? "Everyone from the Middle East are terrorists " because that's what you are implying.

Buying gas imported from the Middle East does not directly aid terrorism. You are acting like as$holes from the 90s when child labor was big in other countries. "Oh don't buy from (so and so company) because they put children to work in factories!" Dipsh|t. You think that they are working for a reason? The economy is sinking and their parents alone cannot support their family, so they voluntarily get a job. Companies don't kidnap children and force them to work for them!

Be goddam open-minded and see things outside the box. Concepts that seem simple at first (ex: Company makes children work = bad company), may have more to the story than what can be seen (ex: Children working for companies = help support their families).

you need to relax,
I don't know if your calling the person who wrote this idiots, dipshits & *******s or us, either way cussing will get you no respect. you have your point that buying oil from the middle east doesn't directly aid terrorism and thats true. Although i believe the main reason the letter was written was due to the fact that countries in the middle east boycott american goods, so why not do the same to products from there.? oil being the biggest one, the author stated "nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends " is his own opinion, not mine & I'm sure most people here don't feel that way either.

i don't know why you strayed on the topic about child labor. but in our society people like myself belive childeren should be in school being educated, not working in some factory. I'm sure their are those decent company's in other country's that are respectful to childeren & working. and those that are not. anyways you should spend a little more time replying to the topic at hand, and don't jump to compare it with something almost unrelated.

I'm in no way trying to be mean.. just be more respectful with your opinions.

okay for everyone saying its BS & its crap & Its nonsense.. ask yourself this,.
what would the author of this letter gain from writing it?.. I can think of a couple things but I find them highly doubtful.
perhaps for once this came from a legit person that is really trying to make a point? who knows.
i did a little research after reading this & found some of it to be true.

everyone is entitled to their own opinion and thats great, but I'd rather hear your reasons, instead of just seeing people reply BS & nonsense.

just to correct you. I didn't say that, the author of the letter did. I don't feel that same way.
you'll notice both times that was written in my post it was under a quote or had quotations.

just be careful of that next time. thanks
