This has been a busy news week with NAIAS, and now news from the 2003 Tokyo Auto Salon held between January 10 and 12 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba prefecture. Mazdaspeed has showcased their new concept, the Mazdaspeed RX-8.
This concept car is based on the new Mazda RX-8. It features an enhanced exterior, interior and performance.
Unique aero parts are fitted to deliver greater aerodynamic performance.
Customized accessories are fitted to suspensions, brakes and mufflers.
Carbon-look switches and sports type seats are used in the interior to display sportscar characteristics.

As for potential, just because the RX7 was TT'd doesn't mean the new renesis RX8 engine can have the same thing done.

i was sooo happy when i heard that the rx-8 was NOT the replacement for the rx-7. RUMOR has it mazda is going to be bringing the rx-7 back soon to compete with the 350z/s2000.
i think its a great idea lets see if the cars where in the same price range what would you rather have a rx-7/350z/s2k RX-7 ALL THE WAY and 350z a close second and s2k WAAAAAAAAAAAAY in the back
