I'm surprised you didn't post this.
I don't know if I completely trust this site though..

the 2005 Acura RL/Legend

Quote
[hr]
These exclusive shots reveal the look of the next generation Acura RL, sold as the Honda Legend in Japan.
The new model will not be sold in Europe anymore. The Accord will be their largest car offered there.

Most of the rumors about this car were wrong. Honda will not offer a V8, but a larger 3.8 V6 with "V8 Power" of almost 300hp.

It will also, NOT be a rear wheel drive car. They will stick to front wheel drive. It will not be marketed as a sports car, but a true luxury automobile. They claim the V6 will be so smooth and quiet, nobody will tell the difference with an 8.

It will also be slightly more expensive, starting in the low $40 000

or this

2004 Honda Latitude

Quote
[hr]In 2003, Honda will try to answer to the PT Cruiser by introducing to the American market, this new compact based on the CRV platform. (Just like the Element).
It will probably use the same 2.4l engine with 160hp.

As you can see, the new Honda has 3 raws of seats, with a very small space left over for the trunk. But the 3rd raw folds flat into the floor, like in other Honda models

The interior looks closer to the Civic Si, than the sedan. That's because, like the Si, it was targeted to the European market first. The Si sold in the US comes from England.
It is an amazing feast to squeeze 7 passengers in a car barely longer than a Civic sedan. But it might quickly become a gutless wonder with only 160 hp from a 4 cylinder engine, trying to take all these people up a long hill...
Let's hope for a more powerful engine for the U.S market.

... SIGH...

Honda's giving the American market all this practical sheeit. Guess we can't really depend on them for a good, affordable fun to drive car... that looks decent.

The 2k5 RL looks like the upcoming "TSX". Maybe it won't be the "TSX" after all... and I kinda expected it sooner. The RL is Acura's top of the line *luxory* car. I'd like to see what's new inside it as I just checked out the recent RL, TL and CL not too long ago. Oh, and just for those who didn't know, that's actually the JDM/Euro Accord. It looks sweet... and the EuroR version looks even sweeter. I'd take it.

The Latitude looks like it has the exact same headlights on the EP hatch.

True but it looks as though Honda is merely following the "crowd", when it comes to producing ugly cars...

Honda seriously needs to make some cars Americans will like...... all the new designs come
from Europe and any Japanese designs we get re the shitty ones. I dont want eurotrash and
Japan's econo-car designs. Why can't we get the friggin type R and Japanese version integras
over here? Honda seriously screws over the North American continent......
although the new accura is pretty sweet I'm sure Japan will get a better version.....

I think they are. Honda IS making cars catering specifically to the american crowd.

Civic Coupe, Accord US Sedan, Accord Coupe, Pilot, Odyssey are all examples of Honda cars designed for the American Market.

me and you may not like some of their design philosphies, but Honda is playing the safe cards. Remember, there are XXXXXXXXX number of civics and accords sold every year, and we are just a fraction of that total number.

Last time I checked, Americans liked hulking SUVs and cars with Auto transmission. Type Rs are last thing on their minds.

That RL was discussed ages ago and it's heavily photoshopped. I only post things that are likely to be out in the US, or cars that are real =p I have a few other good sources.....

over the summer i went to india to go meet the relatives. when i was over there i saw a car called the honda city. it looked completely different though. the front looked like a 7th gen civic and the rear look like an accord (96) it was a 5spd thought. it looked 10 times better than this one, IMO!

The sad thing is honda america has sold it soul. Making cars to please the american market is not saying much. Americans will by crapy cars and like it. Face it we as a hole we have low standards. I would rather have a car made for the japiess(spelling) market. I like the idea of knowing that the guy at the factory would take it personal that his company sold crap not so here in the states. I would be another day another dollar so who cares....
