It's gotta be the Evo. Hands down.
But make sure you get a right hand drive. Just imagine the attention you'd get from a Right Hand drive Lancer Evo VII in the states. Plus even if the DO bring them over here, yours will be the only right hand drive and it'll probably have a bit more power too.

It's not 4WD. It's AWD. 4WD is all 4 tires spinning together. AWD is like smart 4wd. Power gets transferred to the wheels with the most traction.

Depends. If I was looking for a car to drive every day and have some fun with it would be the IS300. The Evo VIII is really a track car that was made street legal. I can't imagine how much a pain that would be driving in stop and go traffic in the city where I live. I would need a daily driver beside it.

EVO VIII all the way. i'd even take it over a ferrari just on the factor that i wouldn't have to buy gas every 45 miles. besides, imagine the fun you could have with that much power.

Agreed. The IS300 is more practical for me personally and I like the way it looks better. I like the luxury aspect of it too.

IS300

Hey you should check out the worked on is300's more often...A turbocharged IS300 has the same potential as with the EVOs...So i gotta give it up for both!!

nice flame SOHCScreamer, why don't you just grow up and put your 2 cents instead.
Anyways, as mentioned by replies, I do like the idea of the IS300 as a dailey ride. Definitely alot smoother ride, as well as quieter. The looks are great also. On the other hand, the Evo does have a more aggresive appeal to it, if you can stand the mediocre ride quality. The only thing that I was mainly disappointed with is the fact that such a new car didn't come with 6-speed manual.
I know the new IS430 is coming out later on too which I believe has more hp than the EVO.
I think that would definitely give the Evo some competition.

Actually it's more of a rally car not a track car.

The EVO VII gets my vote. I like the looks and ability of it more, espicecially where I live in Canada. As for the question about it being released to the Canadian market, it is true that it is not currently available here yet, and from what I am told it might be a bit because they did not pass the crash and emisions tests, and until they do something about that it wont be here. I have a feeling that we here in Canada could see a less powerful version of it, as for my personal opinion on this .............. all BS, doesnt make much sence to me but oh well, I will just have to import one. .............
