Rep Power: 0 Side Mirror Breaking
I'm sure that it happened to some of you guys to break a electric/heating side mirror. Since our side mirrors aren't retractable, it can break very easily. What did you guys do when this happens? It's the second time that i break a side mirror. What I did the first time was going to the dealer and made them order a brand new heating/electric side mirror and made them install it on my car. I paid arround 400$ CAN for this crap. Now, I really don't wanna pay like 400 bux for this damn mirror which is going to break eventually.
You guys know any cheaper issue? I've though of gluing it cuz its the inner part that is teared appart(you'll know what i mean if it already happened to you). Please help!!! Cuz the money I would have spend on these stupid mirrors, I could have spend them on some usefull mods.
Why don't they make retractable mirrors for our civics. Damn it...

Rep Power: 0 I have a coupe (SI, Canada which is EX for you US buddies). Hmm the mirrors are awesome but spending 430US for them...kinda hard too. lol
I'm looking for an economic way, you guys know if glueing will work? I'm sure that there's some of you who broke those damn mirrors.

Rep Power: 0 I am getting estimates right now to repair some accident damage to my Civic (2 door, EX, silver) and on every estimate I get, the OEM (power) mirror assembly keeps coming up as $117.30. You might want to go to a body shop or order OEM parts direct from a source. If a dealer is charging you $400, they are likely gouging you.
Hope it helps...
