Anyone think that Honda may come out with a coupe SI in a couple years and ditch the hb because of lousy sales??? I'm sure if anyone knew for certain it would be posted .. but I want some hope for the future

as of yet i dont know of any posted plans for a redesign plan. It would be in Hondas best interest to either strip the new HB design and start over forgoing the design and go back to its older HB roots or keep coupe style and tune the engine to performa better possibly put a RSXs engine in the bay and an SI emblem

i have a feeling it's going to stay in hb form. honda spoiled you all with the coupe si
the root of the si was a hb, and i think that's why they went back to hb and not made another si coupe. sales wise, i think the si coupe had to most sales, but i don't think si was really sales, it's about where things started. a sporty civic (besides the r)

roots shmoots .. I think they went to the hb because of the success ford vw toyota etc etc is having with their sport hatch's... some savy person needs to write to hondas marketing let them know we or atleast me want si coupes for 2004 .. err bottom line is I want a faster car.. I want one where I can swap my rims and more importantly I want a "new" si coupe .. I am giving second thought to maybe buying a 00 si but I'm going to hold out and see whats to come.

well here is the thing the new hb is a clown at the dealerships at my dealer they are not even on the lot anymore they are on the DIRT lol they are ugly so nobody buys them
HEHE thats funny on the dirt yeah my dealer had one of their black SI's since like June or so and they finally sold it a few mths ago I guess. They still have one black SI left but they haven't ordered anymore or received anymore. That car was a major fall going back to the roots of the SI when thing were selling so well with a Coupe SI.

.: Publicly bought a 2002 Si :.
man, i love my car, i don't know why you guys bash the looks so much, i didn't at first either, but i think its cause i saw it in the ugly green color like they had it in Road and Track. i didn't notice until i got here and you guys said something, but the coupe looks more like a Focus coupe (mostly cause of the tail lights) than the Si looks like a Focus hatch. It does look like a mini oddesy (christ, i thought i knew how to spell oddesey, but when i type it, i can't figure it out) but after i drove it, i fell in love with it. all of my friends think the car is pimp, and it's a plus because i've only seen two others on the road, instead of the thousands of civic coupes that are out there. Not knocking the coupe, i was going to buy one until i found out the price on an Si. But at least appreciate the Si for being pretty much a base RSX at a civic price. (btw, i would have gotten the RSX, but alas, insurance would have made it impractical at this juncture)

i don't know, why are all the type-r civics hbs?
Well I for one have always liked the look of the new Si, but I am just a fan of hatchbacks in general....but I will walk away in shame since everyone here thinks the Si looks like junk! I think they should keep the current style and just give it more power, then people will buy it...but I also vote for a Si Coupe
