Rep Power: 0 Its pretty simple. Given equal mods, and equal drivers there is no way a 7th gen EX is going to keep up with an EP hatch. That being said, that is almost NEVER the case, especially I street racing. Way too many variables can come together to give either car a tremendous advantage, or disadvantage as the case may be. I’m sure one day Ricer A was driving his brand new Si around looking to race because his dad just bought him his dream rice... err ride. He comes up on 7th Gen owner B, whos had his car for a year or so, knows how to drive it, and maybe has some mods. They race, and the 7th gen owner wins, but not by much. He then comes home and writes up on the internet about how he just beat some punk kid id a new Si, with his EX and everyone starts jacking off. This propagates the rumor that "yes, indeed our cars can run with Sis!", which of course pisses off the guys at ephatch.
Now on to them. Oh god, Ive had my run-ins with these morons. Hell, I once flamed a guy for saying that he beat an ITR in the 1/4 by "double clutching". He ten went on to say he was running low 14s with just an intake and a muffler. Hell, his siganture changed more then black99vtec's in the course of the thread. Almost everyone on the board came to HIS defense. Funny part is that they were using the same bullshit they are on you by saying "oh, hes just jealous because we have the NEW Si and he had the crappy old one with the 1.6 liter!" and my favorite "my engine is bigger so my car is better!". Clubsi had the biggest flame roast evAr, and trust me, you dont want to screw with the Si VS all forum in clubsi. You WILL get owned, I dont care who you are or what you drive, there is someone there faster. What did ephatch.com do about that? They locked/deleted any and all threads started about the subject and complained like little bitches in their own forums. Trust me, its not even worth it to get in it with that retarded site. I dare say they are more full of them selves then the members of clubrsx.

went into the showroom to see about the new si's. the salesman told me they ordered 20 cause they thought that the new ones would sell like the 6th gen. they are still trying to sell all of the original 20 ordered. the 02 si has dropped so much in price cause
a) its the mini-me minivan
b) its got the hideous in-dash ***** shifter
c) 6th gen si's stock for stock dust the new ones.
edit: they are yelling about ricer logic and all that, cept they pull some hypocritical stuff like this

Rep Power: 0 I have yet to see/race an SI. I've seen the one at my local dealer and me and my friend couldnt stop laughing. Thing is sooo ugly! I beat my friends mazda mp3(he has an intake). I took him by inches, but winnings winnings. His car has about 170 hp, so i cant imagine that a 160hp Si is gonna be any more competition.

Rep Power: 0 they said a ex vs si would not be a "drivers race"....i know a guy here on base that has a 99 si with usual mods i/h/e and he ran a 16.3 quarter mile, i ran a 16.5 and that was my first time ever at the track, and i cut a better light then when he ran so i probably would have beat him to the line....so it can come down to the driver

Rep Power: 0 What exactly is the arguement here? Equal drivers, Si wins. Since drivers arent equal, then the race becomes thrown one way or the other, depending on who has the better driver. Big fricken deal, why is this such a huge issue?
EDIT: And I certainly do not blame the people at EP hatch for being such dicks on their forum, with a car like the new Si that gets flamed CONSTANTLY for looking like total dog crap on top of being slow as hell, they probably developed pretty shitty attitudes and will go nuts sticking up for their car whenever possible.
