I'll have to go with BMW 3.2L DOHC I-6 (M3), 333 hp from 6 cyl and 3.2L with no help from supers or turbos. If only Honda could do the same thing with the 3.2L V6 Accord. I know I know Accord is a family car. Doesn't hurt to dream though.

There's a huge difference in potential output from an inline 6 than there is a V6...Inline's can make alot more power, but they ned very beefy heavy cranks to avoid torsional flexing
My brother in law has the 330ci. Excellent engine, just so highly refined and a great balance of luxury and pure sport. I want to experience the new Nissan engines and the RSX-s also. As far as Toyota engines, they already carry accolades from when they were new, I'm not sure how often that list repeats old winners as new ones again. My only complaint about Toyota not changing the engines is that I would love to see what they could make now, since these are considered older. I would love to see a new Toyota V6, totally new. Imagine how smooth that could be.....potential bmw fighter. (M3 excluded)

parts bin If the engines are supposed to be new, or substantially revised, what´s up with the VW´s 1.8T? Only thing they have done is increase the turbo´s psi to boost power.
And what´s new about Ford´s 5.4 liter?
