Here we go again lol.
Corolla seems to be more solid inside but I do think the layout of everything is better in a Civic.
The Corolla does have more power but to me the Civ has better styling.
A search can explain the rest. Many people have discussed this.

I drove an 03 corolla. Acceleration is much more responsive and NO RATTLES.
Built-quality (??) is better than the civic imo...
but i like my civic in looks

Seems like this year's Corolla beats Civic in the reliability/quality/price/resale crap like that.
I don't know if I'm right, but seems like specs of Corolla for the price totally beats Civic's spec.
But one thing Corolla will never beat Civic is in style. (in my opinion)
There seems to be A LOT more aftermarket parts for our Civic.
Yes, Corolla looks nicer this year, but still something's not right about it.
Corolla means a flower and is known to be driven by family mans and mama's boy/girl and good people.
I don't know. Just the impression I get of Corolla.
Definitely a good car though. I think the ride was a bit smoother. Powerwise, can't tell a difference although specs are a bit higher. interior feels good in LE, S - kinda feels cheap, CE - don't know.

Even if the corolla S has more power, it's still slower than the Civic EX. From the research I've done looking for track times both mag and real times from drivers, I've yet to say any stock corolla get anything lower than 16.3.

Corollas are very quiet, no rattles, no recalls, better build quality and better than the 7thgen reliability.
Corolla LOOKS like ****, but it's a better car overall.
I think the difference also goes to the people who drive the car. Civic´s are driven mostly by young people while Corollas are usually driven by older people (specially ladies), you rarely see one with mods.
I like the exterior styling of the new Corolla, the headlights are nice. I hate the interior, just looking at it makes you yawn, but it does not have thousands of rattles, like the civic.
I´d never buy the Corolla because I think four door Toyotas are the most boring, tasteless cars in the world (reliable yes, but boooorrrriiiiing)
After test driving the new V6 Camry and comparing it to my father´s 4cyl 6th gen Accord, the Camry feels like one of those big American cars (i.e. Impala or Crown Vic), big roomy, all plush and comfort, extremely soft suspension... Excellent for older people... completely disconnects you from the road. The Accord on the other side... Love it, even the 4 cyl feels so much more alive

i tested the 03 corolla, great car. to me, it looks better than the civic sedan, but i like the looks of the civic coupe more.
03 corolla seemed to have a little more low end torque, but overall didn't feel much faster than the civic, i'm comparing an auto corolla S to my auto EX. there is more interior room in the corolla, trunk looked bigger to. both cars are equally loud, engine noise wise, but the corolla had less road noise. great looking interiors in both cars, but i prefer the layout of the civic, however, there is more storage space in the corolla ( glove box had a lock to a believe ).
but the difference is in the price. my EX auto had a sticker of $17,750. the corolla S was $17,500. yes, corolla is $250 cheaper, BUT, none of the corollas come with ABS standard, so $17,500 was WITHOUT ABS, it also didn't come with a sunroof. it did come with alloys, but ABS is a better feature to me than alloys. the body kit on the S felt a little tacky to, probably not worth the extra you pay for the S, but its not that bad looking.

I'm not sure if you guys have extensive experience with the 03 Corollas, but from what I've heard, they have more problems than just rattles.
As for interior space, they are very close except for the back seat. When my cousins and I went and shop for a car, their main complaint about the Corolla is the tight seating in the rear and the looks. More people I know agreed that my Civic was the better choice.

This GIRL (hint hint) I know has a corolla S. I don't know why, but I prefer my civic. Maybe because I see it as a chick car. I just wouldn't want to be seen driving it. And rattles in the civic? I haven't noticed any of that in my car.
