Hey I'm from northern New Jersey. Sorry did a search and NOTHING, so no flamers please. And I called DMV, apparently they were too busy to answer the question.

What would be the legalest combination of mirrors on a Civic Coupe in my place? I know the whole frontarea (Windshield, Driver's and front passenger side windows) isn't supposed to be tinted i think. But I have seen other Civics with REALLY Dark Tints all over (not that blue crap that's totally see through; I MEAN TINTED)

I want tints, but not if only the back windows are tinted, waste of time and stupid looking (considering 01 Coupes have only like 1 foot of rear side windows on each side of the car)

I have got 18% all around with a 6 inch wide strip on the windshield. It is illegal here in Wisconsin, but as long as you are not an a$$hole the cops don't hassle you about it. I know because I was stopped by a county sheriff and he did not say a word about the tint, but I was super polite, you know "Yes sir" and "No sir" and all that stuff.

even if it is legal in your state tinted windows and mirrors make your car stick out like a sore thumb. add some subs and a loud exhaust and you'll double your odds for being hassled by cops, or grab and go theives. if the cosmetics are worth it to you go for it. tinks looks nice on coupes.

I agree, the silver/metallic tint would look awesome on Silver/White cars.

I think the black would look really good, I used to have the silver tint on one of my cars and i found that it looked cheesy and would rather stick with good ol black.

Yeah it looks good I had legal on the front doors originally and 6% limo on the back 3 with a limo window strip also. Then wanted them to match and look good so now I have 6% on the front doors. Yeah as soon as I got my ride back to where I was going to college first day I had it in the tint shop getting tint. Tint looks good and it protects your interior especially down in Phoenix, while keeping the heat out with some privacy.

Semi-useless fact: Having a black interior also makes your tint look darker. Especially at night. This might influence how dark you decide to go with. I'm not sure what level of tint my car is, but it's really dark at night and I have no problems seeing out. It's definately worth it!

Yep, I can see out at night fine when I am outside of the city. When I drive around in town its like driving around during the day pretty much. Yeah I would recommend Limo 5% or 6% looks really good and more people go with it now. Yeah 13% I could have got but the tint guy told me there wasn't much difference might as well just do 6%.

I have 20% tint all around my car. Its look great. Here, cops dont pay much attention if you have dark tint, or even limo tint all around the car.The problem is when its time to get the inspection sticker. Which I have to get this february.
