On Friday Dec 20th my car was rearended by a drunk driver!!!! my baby was less than three weeks old, i havent even made a payment on it yet (except downpaymet). My arm and neck was hurt!! it fricken sucks I wanted this car to be perfect and i guess it's not now!!! I was planning to get a bodykit in feb when i get my tax return, but i guess i am going to have to do it alot sooner. It sucks cause i was going to use that money for my rims, i guess my rims are going to have to wait. Check out the pics they kinda suck. Click Here for pics

thanks, i loved that truck.. but it was time for change. But i am still not sure what to do yet, just have them fix it to stock and continue as if the accident never happend and get my rims like planned. Or i dont know know if i should let the rims wait and have the bodykit install.. I might just have it fixed, and if i get settlement money then i can have the bodykit put on then. I already have M3 Mirror, and Z3 fender that i need install i just need to wait. Hum.. decisions decisions..

The sad thing is, it was pulling out of the parking lot from my company xmas party. I actaully work with that guy, he was pretty cool before the accident. I got no respect for him now. The cops never arrested him for DUI, but he failed the test.. so i dont know i hope its not a long battle. I just want my car back. I cant even drive it cause my arm and neck is in alot of pain.

Sorry to hear about your accident. If the other guy has good insurance, after you get your car back find every little flaw with it and keep calling his insurance company and demanding to get it fixed, since the car was brand new they wont argue. Once you complain 2 or 3 times tell them this is bogus and you are going to talk to a lwayer because you had the car a couple weeks and now it sucks, they should give up and get you a new car.

I know this work because I had my 97 Altima 2 months when it was hit, I complained several times and after the third time I had a brand new car. The other guy had state farm.

It doesnt seem good at first

BUT

1- he was drunk.. this makes him look reeaal bad if u sue him
2- damage on ur car doesn't look all that bad
3- excuse to get aftermarket rear bumper (and maybe exhaust - if it got bent up)

PS -- denfinately sue him.. milk the neck injury
(normally i wouldn't do that, but drunk drivers deserve whatever comes to them.. he coulda killed you)

too young for a kid, i am only 19!!! But yea the exhaust is fuct, i already got a new exhausts before it happend so i will just have them install it at no charge since the have to fix it anyways.. plus since they have to replace my trunk, i am going to have them shave it for me, no emblems = extra clean. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] i will probally just have them fix it to stock, and put the kit on later, so if i do get a settlement i can use the money for the bodykit

I have no respect for those who drive drunk, I think if i was hit by a drunk driver and was able to get out of my car i would probably lose it on him big time........but thats just me.


Take him to the cleaners, sue him, do whatever you can to the extreme to teach that idiot a lesson.

Don't milk it, just get what deserve for car and medical costs. For all of you out there who act like "That guy is the antiChrist, take him to the cleaners!" I'm sure he didn't mean to drive under the influence, and he sure didn't mean to get into an accident. Think what happens when you do sue him? He goes broke for sure, he has to pay lawyer fees/ court costs. He could lose his car, and his house. His credit rating is permenently damaged. Is it worth it? I'm sure having his rates go wayy up and having on his conscience that he could have killed somebody is going to be with him forever. Be nice guys. Get what you deserve, but don't milk it. Someday that could be you, or a close family member.

I am just sick of dealing with it, i want my life to be back the way it was before it happend. I want my car to be bran new again, and for me to not be hurt and go back to work. I have to miss a week of work because of this ****. I just want it to be over. As long as i get my car back perfect and quick, and not get a Geo Metro as a rental, I will be cool
