The TSI is a nice car. It's pretty much identical to the Eclipse GS-X. Same engine and turbo and it's all wheel drive. My boy has a first generation TSI and he loves it. Very easy to free up a bunch of power with just a couple of bolt ons. The only bad thing that he has said about them is that the all wheel drive on them tends to fail. I kinda like them. But you will be a traitor and I have to give that a big.....................

No the TSI isnt identical to the Eclipse GSX. The Talon TSI is is a front wheel drive car.
The Talon TSI AWD is an AWD car hence AWD, if it doesnt say TSI AWD its not AWD, itll be front wheel drive

Prepare to work on any talon, eclipse, or lazer at least once a week no matter the modle, tranny. DSM or not they all need to be worked on alot even if they are babied.

Not really, my friend's 97 talon has only seen the shops for oil changes ,tire rotations and fluid topups. Maybe he was lucky?

My X Girl Friend had an Eagle Talon, not sure if it was turbo though. Anywho she left her sunroof open and it rained... make of that what you will. Prior to that the car smelled, had engine problems, transmission problems and just about every other type of problem affiliated with cars. Her ignition key even broke one time she tried to turn her car off.
