The cool thing about our cars not having external antennas

Last night while waiting in line at a campus bar, some drunk guys left and stole the antenna off of a Camaro that was parked out front. I was like, "oh man I'd be pissed if that was my car." Then I remembered, my car doesn't have an antenna that sticks up. Hehe.

I'd still be pissed if that happened to me. Fortunately for the guy who stole it no one went after him.

yeah i think its a great IDEA.. however... IMO my antenna reception Sucks

maybe the tints have some afffect but it sucked before i had them too [IMG]i/expressions/moon.gif[/IMG] i need an amplifer i guess

I've got my windows tinted and whenever I turn on the defroster with the radio on, I get a ton of interference.

I get good reception. I don't have tinted windows, though.

It's a good thing I listen to CD's most of the time [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

I only listen to radio in the morning to The Bob & Tom Show.

Really? Weird. You must have metalized tint, or full metal tint. It bridges the connection when you turn it on. I guess the glue on the tint is either not enough of an insulator or it rubbs off in certain places when you put on the tint. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

I have tinted windows as well , and have no trouble with reception at all, but then again I usually put in a CD, I love my MP3 CD headunit.

i dont even know where on the car the antenna is located or should i say hidden
and i have tints and my reception is just fine!.. AM sucks big time though

See those lines in your rear window? The horizontal ones are defrost lines. The ones in the middle top making the funny design is your antenna.

HEHE yeah once I got tint I noticed my reception on my radio went down. Yeah I like not having a external antennas less chance of someone messing with it. Yeah AM is bad in my car and most cars my parents have too, but I still listen to Tom Leykis everyday 3-7 on HotTalk 1080 up here, TOM rules HEHE

Living in a major metro area helps with the recption though. Up in Cheeseland, I usually just switch to listening to CDs.

You guys can have my reception. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG] I have full tint on my windows, and I get perfect reception. I don't live in the city, either. But since I hate the radio, I always listen to CDs. Our cars look so much nicer without a normal antenna.
