Next-Gen TOYOTA ALTEZZA




Engines:
2.4L Inline 4 210HP
2.5L V6 230HP
3.0L V6 260HP
3.5L V6 280-330HP


Possible future applications? 3.5L looks perfect for the Supra.. to ante up on the 350Z & S2000.. and 3.0L 260HP V6 for the Camry? ES300? Maybe.. but they're soon coming out with a 240HP 3.3L V6.. hmm

Well it's the prototype... I'm sure some of the much exaggerated parts are going to be removed. I serously doubt the centre exhaust outlet and gills are going to make production. The rear does remind me of Altima, but hey--who started the Altezza trend? Altezza, of course! Toyota alone has made APC a rich company.

well the front looks like the current incarnation of the camary....
back looks like the nissan altima...

and i dont think they are gonna put a v6 into a supra.... the would only go inline 6

It looks like 6 different designers worked on different parts of the car and they threw it all together w/o seeing what the other designers came up with.

Hmm.. well they only have that crappy I6 from IS300 right now. I think they'll go V6 this time.. many sources are saying that they are. Unless they are coming out with a whole new I6.. maybe bored out to 3.5Lish...

Man.. I was planning to buy a IS300 (TOYOTA ALTEZZA) when they do the model change for 2004. I guess I need to start looking somewhere else now. Maybe I'll still buy the 2003 IS300 when the 2004 comes out.. we'll see.

exactly what i thought with the shape of the trunk and the taillights. i really don't like the single exhaust tip. porsche can just pull it off because the rest of the car looks so nice. but it would have looked much better with dual as well as the new altezza. front doesn't look so bad [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

edit: i like the headlights because they sort of resemble/remind me of silvia head's

YES it's a photochop- The original pic was the prototype IS430 under disguise w/ taped over lights and body panels, and it was chopped up. This was already discussed on IS300.net about 2 weeks ago, and someone posted the picture that the chop originated from. OBVIOUSly a chop.

That crappy I6 thats in those crappy Supras [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG] I have seen a number of single turbo IS300's with supra trannys and 600hp at the wheel. Larger displacement would be nice.
