Modifying my car is becoming a problem for me! I'm too addicted!!
When I first got my car, I told myself that I would just drop it, clear the corners, exhaust and that's it. But every couple weeks after a single mod, I have this addiction to keep doing more. I need something new to my car every couple weeks. If I don't, I start to hate my car and not wash it or take care of it. I think it's starting to become a problem. I'm spending too much of the little money that i get from my $9/hr job. Week after week, something has to be modified for me to keep liking my car. Has anyone else had this addiction?

I started modifying my car with a pair of hyperwhite bulbs... Now look at it i dont know if i will ever be able to stop, as soon as im done modifying it i know im going to sell it and buy somthing else but then i guess ill just start all over agian. I guess it is an addiction oh well...
hey at least "modding" your car is alot better than "fixing" your car where as repairs can cost alot more than doing stuff that will help your car hth

Hey Im with you guys on this one too.
I am thinking I need to get a second job just to pay for modding the car, its nuts. But as one of my only hobbies, its worth it to me.
I love it.

I wasn't planning on modding up my car until I came across this web site back in like March of 2001. I started with altezza lights cuz I thought they were cool . Then I saw fast and furious, don't flame, nice cars in there. Then I went to import shows and decided all my savings would go into my car from then on. Working 16 hours a weekend, $7 an hour, $5,000 later, I've kinda calmed down a lil bit. Working on gettin an LCD now and installing my PS1
ive got the same problem. i keep saying that I'm not putting any more money into my car, then I go out and buy something else. I just bought fog lights and I know ill be buying more crap...

I am so addicted i have only had my car for two months and already put over $3500 in to it and plan on doing another 3000 in the next 3-4 months. someone please stop me:
Yeah... I guess there's nothing better than improving on something you love.
I had some cash for mods not too long ago but my friend suggested that I save up my money to buy the more expensive things first and then spend it on the cheaper things like a clutch, short shifter, shift lamp, new brake rotors with aftermarket pads, etc. etc. for more expensive things... exhaust, turbo, full coilovers, rims, etc..
I agree it was the wisest decision... but I ended up buying a PS2 because i needed something to entertain myself. Then the worse case scenario came up - found the rims I wanted for cheap and since I bought the PS2 there's no way I can afford it now nor compromise and return it to Best Buy.

I think most of us are addicted. I sure as hay know I am. Soon as I buy a couple things, a couple things go on the list. It's a list that can never be completely scratced off. The list grows at a faster rate than my wallet.

hey, you guys are lucky, there isn't half the modifications out there for the 7th gen civic then there is for the 3rd generation integra, not only do I have the addiction to mod the car, I have the stress to find out which one I'd prefer, the best price and which one gives the most power or looks the best. But, damn it's fun.
HEHE yeah I have this problem too, worked all summer 12+ hrs a day and have money for rims but then I lost my job to seasonal. Now I finally have a decent job again and I want rims so the next mth of work will get me to my rims then once I am done with wheels I dunno. I spend all my time looking at rims to buy I will go crazy once I buy them because then I will have no mods left to add HEHE
But I feel you guys
