I like he whole exterior except for those saturn style rear doors. Man! I can't stand that on the saturn coupes. Why in the heck would mazda put that on a sports car?

Rotary engine

I Never understood something....Ok, these cars are FR Set ups, but at the same time, I always hear people comment they are one of the best handling cars out there. To me its an oxymoron, someone shed this light? How can rear wheel drive cars be one of the best handling? GIven that I never drove a FR car, or a RX-7 for that matter.

Rear Wheel Drive has always been better for handling. Why? well the front wheels can put all the effort into turning. so that helps eliminate understeer (if your accelerating, and taking a tight corner, the traction is seriously reduced with FWD, also can't forget torque steer). AWD can have the same problem, more understeer at least. But in many circumstances it can lead to better handing than FR. But seriously, the Corvette Z06 is a FR car, and It can pull over 1g on the skidpack.

Wow...
It's called "WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION"
The RX7 has an almsot perfect ratio (perfect being 50/50). That is why is handles so great.

Okay enough silver/chrome **** in cars these days.

It's getting too much.... like stereos and cell phones.... all silver... too trendy. pretty soon it'll look tacy.. they have to use it with moderation, tastefully. sorta like audi does...

well said

its hard to imagine the styles of today going out of style like those avantis... I bet they were fairly aggressively styled cars for their day and now look at em... screaming 70s. This is why I bought honda. They don't go to aggressive with their styling, and thus, in 10 years I won't look at my car and wonder what the heck i was thinking when I bought it

The RX-8 is a beautiful car but I definitely don't like the interior. I hope one tries to race me so i can see it go
