I just saw a road test of this "vehicle". WTH were they thinking is right.

You know this SUV craze has gone about far enough. Next it will be Rolls Royce. Or better yet Ferarri! Just add enough lower body, stretch the front scoops downward, add 4wheel drive, jack it up and you've got it. A 4x4 Ferarri All-Terrain twin-turbo V12 with 26" rims and sonar controlled self raising lower body panels for those really big speed bumps! i agree, V8 biturbo owns you, but i dunno about the whole SUV thing for the cayenne. especially when it starts at $95,000. i don't get it, but whatever, if it makes anyone happy, more power to them.

I think porsche designed this SUV quite a few yrs back. I saw a coverage on it how they took their Carrera's down at the grand canyon, and jacked it up, put larger wheels on it, make it all wheel drive or something. When they were doing their research and testing, that's when the SUV market was big. But it took them so long to get the car out in the market. So finally, it's here, and the SUV craze is over. And the car is just

to me that thing looks like a highered carrera with huge wheels, looks pretty ugly, although i am sure its pretty powerfull, but doubt it is any good off road, not porches specialty. whats up with ugly SUVs? first the buike and then this? if i were to get an suv i would go for a honda pilot

The first vehicles Porsche made were Farm Tractors... and they were winning rallies in the 959, they know a thing or 2 about getting dirty, but I don't think off roading was the intention of their latest creation. This thing is purely to stick a foot in the SUV market. You'll see them being driven by rappers and basketball players on 24" spinning chrome rims, and that's about it.
I seriously doubt Ferrari will ever build an SUV. They have an reputation to uphold that's regarded even higher than Porsche with a more exclusive client list. I think they'll keep making Sports cars and that's it. But a Lambo SUV???? Why not... off roading used to be their specialty.

I have yet to see an SUV that I like. But sportwagons... mmm. Just for clarification, this is not an SUV, it is a sportwagon just like the Audi ALLROAD and things such as that. If I was a super-rich familyman, I'd buy one. But if I only had 100Gs to spend, that wouldn't be it. I don't think it will sell well in the States, but it will overseas to businessmen with too much money. Or real car lovers who want a sleeper. No one is gonna expect that thing to have a Porsche emblem on the hood, and no one is gonna expect 450hp with 460 ft/lbs of torque.
