Acura RSX or Honda Civic EX?

I have been thinking about the next car and I am becoming interested in the RSX. Is the RSX a better car than the Civic EX? I have always tried to be practical about cars, not spending too much on them, but I was just thinking if there was one time not to be practical, might it not be, making the move from Civic EX to RSX? Right now I have a Civic LX.

Unless you REALLY love Civics or you want a sedan, don't get an EX. The RSX isn't any more impractical than a Civic, they're both compact cars. In a lot of ways, they're the same (not exactly, just the general idea) So an LX Civic to an RSX would be a decent upgrade if its okay with you financially. I wouldn't buy the Si.

get the rsx dont think about getting the micro van its a pos to me. Or get a civic ex if you like civic's. I really like the 7thgen vic ex. Its born with only 127 horses but I like the body style and all the good stuff you can do to it. But Rsx if you want more power.

the TSX is just a civic with leather and a 160hp (base) engine. BFD. Unless u want the power and are willing to pay the extra price (or the "creature comforts like leather seats better sound system and what not) get the civic. better yet, get a used car. its a better deal and youll get WAY more car for your money.

Hey I think you should keep what you have. Just figure out what you want to upgrade. If you want speed then add a turbo. If you want a more comfortable rides change your springs and seats. Thats just me two cents. But whatever, it is your the one who has to make it not members of the site. Just do what you think will make you . That is just my two cents.

If you can afford the price and insurance for the RSX. Of course get the RSX. Else get the SI since it is about the same price as the EX.

If I am you, i will wait and save some money. Get the Type-S, celica or WRX later =)

Yeah I would stick with what you have the SI is not worth the time in my mind I would just jump into the RSX or a Accord or something like that.

That's why I say if you love your civic, you'll really love the rsx. I remember my teg.....Think about a BA civic from the factory and that engine you dream about being in your civic...that's what you call an "integra - rsx."

The Si looks like a mini-soccer mom's mini-van.

Don't get me wrong. The RSX is a nice looking car, but I think it is overpriced (like those da*n, unreliable VWs). I feel it is a glorified Civic marketed to people who desire afffordable performance. There is this strong perception associated with the Acura nameplate -- upscale precision performance. Do I think it is truely justified in the price, h*ll no! I don't believe it is all there, especially when you look at the bland interior.
