i got my civic last summer, it is still stock, love it and all, but there is one thing thats pops into my head eveytime i read a thread about "performance part" and about "rice" cars.
when i got my civic, all i had in mind is that i wanted to get big rims, clear lights, grill, body kit, aound system ... i didnt even have in mind the opening my trunk, but after a while i realized that what i wanted to do with my car is "RICE" because it is a slow car which i am making to look like a fast one. comon people, i dont want body kit to look fast or to show off, i want ot cause it looks good, and all the mods i will put on my car will not cost me more then a couple of thousand.
on the other hand when it comes to performance, lets say you get a CIA, cams, pullies, fly wheels, throttel body .... this thing will cost alone a couple of thousand dollers, and it will give you what? 20hp extra, thats not enough to make your car fast. if you actually want to make your civic fast, u need a turbo, another engine, noz ..... how much does that cost, 5 thousand? more?
all i am saying is whats the point in performance modding on your civic, when for the same amount of money you can geta faster car like an eclipse or cilica. the look naturally beautiful and come already fast.

so to sum it all up, in my opinion, NO to performance, and yes to looks, and quite this "RICE" bullshit, cause this way all our civics are "rice"

I didn't read your whole post but I get what your saying

When I see a car with a bodykit to me it makes it look "nice" not "fast"
and IMO why get engine componants when you have no intention of racing the car? I mean it would be a waste of money you.

you could of spend on something you really wanted like sound system, bodykit etc

It mean who cares if your car is all show no go?
I mean are you serisouly going to keep the car for the rest of your life? I don't think so

Just have fun with it now and couple years down the road when you have lots of money saved up.

But I do hate people that say your car is slow. I mean think about it
When you bought a civic you could of easily took that money bought a 92 hatcback put in a b16a b18c etc and you could of easily been "fast"
