Custom Supercharger, is it possible?
is it possible? would it be cost effective? Wouldn't the whp be so minimal it wouldnt be worth the cash?

Yes, it's possible. It's tough as all hell though because you have to mechanically drive the supercharger with gears or and belts via the pullies. You have to make sure everything is balanced. You have to custom fabricate many things. IMO it's more complex than a custom turbo. Anything is possible though. The cost should be very similiar to a custom turbo. No BOV or Wastegate, but you need a fuel system upgrade.
Performance would be about the same as a turbocharger, maybe a little less top end power. Linearly increasing boost and the fact that you can keep your header for better performance. As long as the parasitic drain on the engine wasn't too great. It all depends on the gearing and the type of supercharger though.
Would it be worth it? Nobody has tried to do this yet, so I don't know? Maybe. The cost will be more than that of a custom turbo if you go to a shop to get it done, that's for sure.
