ebay
I hear a lot about it, do you recommend buying parts for the engine from Ebay? I mean I could see maybe a spoiler or rims or even a short shifter.. But I dont know about stuff like CAI or headers... could there be something wrong with them? I dunno never used ebay.... give me some feed back
I wouldn't.... but then again everything that I've gotten through ebay that was over 50 bucks had something wrong with it. You are better off just finding a deal somewhere, like around on this site! Good luck if you do decide to use eBay as a parts store!

its not ebay thats the problem.. its certain sellers that give the whole website a bad name. Keep in mind you're not doing any business with ebay directly, its between you and the seller, and ebay has tons of sellers... you just gotta be careful and find the right auction. I have gotten most of my car parts from ebay auctions, just make sure to ask the seller any questions BEFORE bidding and winning the auction. You just gotta be careful with used items.... But many companies run auctions with new parts as well and offer warranties so you should be fine, just use good judgement...
Tell me what you don't like about yourself....

Have I have yet to have one problem with buying products of any kind on ebay. The trick is, that you have to read in between the lines to see what they are actually selling. If the price seems too good to be true, then it probably is.
The items I've bought off of ebay:
-Generic 800 watt amp for my subs $100. Verdict: works great, pushes a lot, actually blew my two subs. Lots of cool features. Great deal.
-Washer lights. Rice rice, I know, but $9.99 Verdict: arrived quickly, work exactly as expected.
-Generic 6" x 9" speakers Verdict: Cheap, but looked decent. The magnet was too big to fit in our cars, so I sold them to a friend. Arrived quickly.
Ebay can be a great place to get parts, but just make sure you examine the seller's history, and pay with Paypal or credit card to help in case of fraud. Email them and talk to them before the auction.
Best Advice: let the buyer beware

the first 4 or so auctions i bid on on ebay were items w/in 50 miles of my house. that's the best way to do it. no shipping and you can test out the item before paying. A lot of businesses won't let you pick items up because they just do drop shipping and never even see your item, so it's not unusual for them to refuse this. I'd say try it, but use a credit card that allows you to get your money back easily if you get shafted (i.e. AMEX or Discover)
i ve bought so many things off ebay
for my previous car the ex coupe i bought the Injen CAI off of ebay
and i bought many things b4 that
never had a problem once over the past 5 years
jus play it smart when u want to bid on something to buy thats all
