NSX, S2000, 2 Type Rs Vs... (video)
Just in case you missed it a while back.
NSX
S2000
Integra Type R (DC2)
Integra Type R (DC5)
Altezza
Impreza WRX STi
(Silvia?)
Great video... you should already know which car wins. You also get to see what the new Integra(RSX)-R is capable of.
And just cuz you don't see somethin like this often...
Bonus 1.
Bonus 2.
The DC2s here are further modified under the hood while DC5s get mainly suspension mods.

Wow, I thought the RSX was gonna win haha I like how the NSX flashes his headlights at the end.
Nice videos, seen the bonus 2 before though. Hehe the Impreza couldn't pass the ITR
What mods does the ITR have? He was redlinine close to 9k.

Look at the first video... the DC5R outhandles the DC2R STOCK. The ride height is higher in the DC5R. Suspension tuning and engine improvement is shown right there. The DC5R oWNz the DC2R... until the DC2 is modified.
Some of the nicest sounding engines, IMO.

yet, i continaully bring this point up...even if you are to mod the suspension in the rsx-r to bring it to the level of the DC2 the adverse effects are so much worse......BUMPSTEER like a ****, extremly reduced suspension travel, far more harsh of a ride..
i DO prefer the K series engine though over the previous b series, but i still am set on the double wishbones.....when the macpherson reacts similarly to the double wishbone does when modified is the day i will buy another car w/ macphersons...
personally i am sick of the extremly annoying bumpsteer found in my civic after slightly lowering the car 1.5" w/ H&R sports.....in addition, even w/ KONI adjustables, the car rides stiff as anything, and is extremly unpleasant and "upset" on uneven and bumpy roads...
i go to school here in PA, where the roads are horrible....i have experienced first hand how poorly my car reacts over big bumps and dips....even small dips and bumps are translated into big shocks and jerks of the car and steering wheel....what angers me is i can get in a 99 gsr w/ AEROSPED POS 3" drop springs on oem struts and it still HANDELS BETTER AND RIDES SO MUCH NICER AND SMOOTHER, and NOOO BUMPSTEER!
i stand w/ my opinion....MACPHERSONS ARE OLD TECHNOLOGY! and they suck!
one last point....if the macpherson is soo great..then why has honda always been praised for the use of the doublewishbone? answer: because the double wishbone provides sporty handeling while still maintaing good ride quality and comfort..
mark
Mwhonda, I believe the DC2 in the bonus video had like cams, pistons, and other engine work while the DC5 had like an intake or something. At least that's what I remember about the post regarding those videos. Yea you're right, I'll take double wishbone any day. Makes no sense that we're going backwards in technology with new cars
