soo,,,it's a straightforward swap.. as far as mounting the engine and such.. the troubles with it is the wiring and fact that it's very illegal...

B series engines can easily fit into our engine bays..new mounts would have to be fabricated or modified no biggie for any decent shop to do...but the whole engine system will need to be rewired...

Cheers

It's illegal to put an older engine into a newer car..the last USDM model year for the B16 was 2000... for us with 2k1 Civics a B18C1 swap from a 2001 Integra is legal

Illegal becasue yo have to use an engine of the same year or newer. So an H22A would work becasue they made them in 2001.

It's illegal for both safety and emmisions control reasons.. Grab a law book and look up. or call your local authorities and ask them exactly why...

Yeup, it would be pretty jacked if I bought a new car.. but with a old *** engine in it. Probably illegal to prevent that from happening.

You are aware that it would easily cost $2000 in labour alone to do this

Rewiring the ECU wires and harnesses is not something you want to trust your buddies with..it's it's a 6th gen civic sure.. not something this tedious.. Many shops won't even try it..

I was just messing around. If I did have the money I would, just because the fact I would become a celebrity just like Htown did. I rather just save up and get an Integra GSR. Of course there are those who would say like get an LS and swap it.

What's the difference between the b18c1 and the b18c5 engines? Also, how do you acquire one of these said engines. I dun have the money for this, but I would like to know anyway. =)
