i had to post this question here cuz nobody pays much attention to the wheel/suspension forum....who here has had their wheels jacked?? what did u do afterward? what things do u suggest buying to keep this situation from happening to others? i know that if someone wants ur wheels, they will have it, but there should be a way to lessen the chances of ur rims getting stolen.....right? (alarm system, wheel locks, etc., but what actually works??)

if someone wants anything off/in your car bad enough, or the car it self, it doesnt matter what you do to it. They will break, rip, jimmy or tow whatever they need/want given the time and oppertunity. My friend even has (edit: HAD) lo jack on his supra, but they just towed the fawker on a flat bed and the stupid tracking device never turned on, it also eliminated any help his fuel cut switch, THE CLUB, and audio alarm had.

Best thing is to have insurabce that will cover it.
Other then that,
Get spline drive lug nuts, and quality wheel locks. thats about all you can do. An alarm also helps, who wants to sit next to a car trying to break wheel locks while the alarm is blairing away? and WATCH WHERE YOU PARK. Duh.

My solution was wheel locks, and an alarm with a pager. I still have my rims and haven't had any break-ins either.

I woke up one day and was going to work as I walked out the door I saw my roomates GSR jacked up on a spare tire and jack. No WHELLS. to make a long story short, they brok in to his car (cleanly) took the lock bolt that was in the jack package that comes standard with the car and very Cleanly and considerately Stole his wheels.

His insurance covered the replacements.

I still laugh at him when I see his face after I told him out of a dead sleep.

But really the act wasn't funny at all!!!!!!!!!!!

We work hard for our stuff why shouldn't they, Jealious bastards

Having an alarm with perimeter sensing + pager is the key. That way it'll chip off for sure and you'll know someone is close to your car + you'll get notified. Without it, they could move u're car on a flatbed without ever tripping the shock sensor.
