2002 Honda Performance Package
2002 Honda Performance Package
Hi,
Im new to the forum and I am getting a 2002 civic. I found a dealer selling an 02 with the honda performance package which if you arent familiar with comes with the spoiler, body is lowered, 16" rims with Yokohama tires, new shift ***, Interior Kit, muffler tip, a few other things, and a modified Suspension and strut. I dont know too much about this series..but supposedly there are only 500 made. Im gonna get the car for 15,000 if i get it....Just wondering what you guys think about it if you know anything about it. Thanks for any input

for fifteen thats a good deal, but if you are going to mod your car, you are buying thiings (16's, lowering springs, suspension) that you may upgrade any way. so if you are going to mod, buy base, by if you are oging to leave it, I say go for it..

thats a pretty good price i guess. i lowered my dealer from the sticker price to 12,000. see if you can bargain it down lower cuz all the dealerships are trying to get ride of the 2002 models. and theres a charge that the dealer will charge thats like 360 bucks that they tac on. well you don't have to pay that money. they can't make you pay it, they can only hope you don't notice it. i think its called like a dealer something. i'll ask my friend tommorrow. is anyone else familiar with this?

$15K is a friggin steal! They're $22400 here. It almost sounds too good. Is it brand new? Or used? Buy the damn thing. For $15K I'd buy it just to get the Type R style rims.

What's the trim though... unless they only put the FP package on a cetain one. I thought i heard people quoting like $3000 for the package. Maybe I'm worng though. That's a pretty good deal either way.

Hey,
Thanks for the quick response...the car is brand new....red. The rims are pretty sweet. Does anybody have any website link that shows the exact specs for this car....im not sure exacly what it has done to it, but I know that it looked pretty sweet and I never seen one built like that that was made by honda itself. If anybody got a link w/ specs I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Make sure the 16" rims aren't heavier than the stock wheels... unless you wanna get beat by someone with a regular stock Civic
Other than that, 15k is a good price even without the Performance Package.
