Insurance Question
I sometimes see people on this site talking about how becasue they got in an accident hey are getting a body kit. I have some dents from getting hit that im getting fixed soon. I know for a fact they are replacing the rear bumper. I was thinking of getting an Xenon kit for my car. If i buy the front and side skirts will my insurance pay for the rear. How do i tell my insurance to that i want the xenon rear instead of the stock rear? Any help is appreciated and if this is uder the wrong topic feel free to move it. I couldnt decide between Off Topic and here. thanks

once the adjestor comes out to look at your car from insurance, you tell him that you wanna take it to your own body shop. So what they do is cut you a check for the damage and then its up to you to buy the bumper and take it to your shop to get it painted and put on..... basically, just ask them for a check... also i wouldnt put it on insurance unless its really bad damage cause its gonna hike ur premium especially if it was ur fault that its damaged. If someone else hit the car then no worries!.
i put a hit and run on my record and they told me that the premium wasnt going to go up but it went up a couple months after i filled it, mine was really cheap, like 700 bucks for a new front end... nothing special in ur case, just get them to cut you the check for the damage on the car so you can get the work done.. your gonna have to purchase the aftermarket stuff for the body shop, but they will purchase all the other stuff, like panels fenders and whatever else got damaged in the hit and runs....
