My friend and I hit a red light as we were driving to the bowling alley. I rarely race but I asked him if he wanted to run, so "sure."
~Acura 2.3 CL Automatic (not sure of the year), Hyperwhite Bulbs and just a Muffler
~2002 Civic Ex 4dr 5spd, 17" Tenzo R w/ 205/40 Kumhos, Neuspeed Sport Springs

Green Light: I had a bad launch at about 3000rpm and we both burned rubber at first, and then it seems like I sort of just beat him like in first gear by about 1 car length, then 2nd gear I was just gone.

Question: What are the specs on the CL? I know that the muffler he had took away from his torque b/c it reduces backpressure or something, but I beat him pretty bad, and my car is stock w/ heavy rims.

well his muffler didn't cause him to lose any torque or HP. and well his was auto so your gonna beat him off the line. but i dunno how you beat him so badly. HMMMMM

yeah, neutral drop.... charge it up and throw it in drive.... How many cylinders and how much hp is it? Its a 2.3, not to get mixed up with the new 3.2's...

yes, but they also continued them in the TL untill 1998. Even still i was wrong, the CL is a 150 Hp 4 cyl.

they made the 2.3CL for three years...'97, '98, and '99. horsepower for the 2.3CL is 145hp, 150hp, and 150hp respectively. and auto CL weighs about 3120lbs.
